Course description:

The Masters program the WTO-module is designed to provide students with basic knowledge on modern Multilateral Trading System (MTS). It includes the following issues: Basic Principles of the Multilateral Trading System and WTO Agreements; WTO Rules and their Application; Trade Negotiations: Theory and Practice; Regional (Preferential) Trade Agreements and WTO Rules; Future of the Multilateral Trading System. The Program is realized with the technical assistance of the WTO Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation (ITTC). Experts of ITTC participate on the regular basis as visiting professors on selected issues of current trade policy.

Prerequisites:

To study this course students should have knowledge on basic principles of the Multilateral Trading System, main trade policy instruments and their implementation in National trade policy. The intermediate knowledge of English is essential component of the study.
